Is there a trendy cafe near Coex?

ANLE Coffee sits right along the walkway out of the Hyundai Department Store at Coex. They sell donuts and bagels, and there are a lot of foreign customers. Even the menu board gives off a resort-abroad vibe — I got pulled in just walking past. The interior atmosphere is really good, the kind of place you’d want to sit with your laptop open all day. Plenty of people were chatting for a long stretch, which tells you how relaxed the vibe is.

What’s on the menu and how much does it cost?

Coffee menu (Tall / Grande): For tea, they use the premium French brand Mariage Frères: Bakery: Drinks: Donuts are 30% off during happy hour.

How does the butter cream latte taste?

I ordered the butter cream latte. When I asked if it was very sweet, the staff said yes, it leans sweet. I asked for it less sweet, and it came out just right. If you’re not a big fan of sweet drinks, it’s worth asking them to tone down the sugar. Drinking it through a straw while walking around left some of the cream behind. If you want to really taste the cream, drink it in the store without a straw. One downside: there’s only one staff member handling both orders and drink-making, so drinks can take a while to come out.

What’s it like with two kids?

It’s a good stop on your way out after shopping at Hyundai Department Store. With bagels and donuts on the menu, it’s easy to grab something for the kids as a snack. The macarons, at 4,000 won, tend to catch kids’ eyes first. The atmosphere inside is fairly quiet, so if your kids get loud you might feel a bit self-conscious. Taking it to go and eating outside is also an option.
