Looking for somewhere to take the kids around Goyang, Paju, Gimpo or Incheon this weekend?
A bunch of festivals and events wrap up on Sunday (10/25) this week.
The Yeoncheon Chrysanthemum Festival and the flower event at Starfield Goyang both end this Sunday.
I went through all the official notices and picked just 7 places.
1. Pocheon Hantangang Garden Festa
2026. 9. 12. (Sat) ~ 11. 1. (Sun) 09:00 ~ 18:00 · Children and teens 5,000 won
Themed gardens and autumn flower gardens, a Pororo photo zone, e-bike rides and a Y-shaped suspension bridge, all in one spot.
Part of the ticket price comes back to you as Pocheon Sarang local gift vouchers. Kids get 3,000 won back, adults 4,000 won.
It’s closed every Tuesday, so it’s shut on 10/20 (Tue). Last entry is 17:00, and residents of Nowon-gu, Jung-gu and Gangdong-gu reportedly get 50% off.

2. The 8th Yeoncheon Chrysanthemum Festival
2026. 10. 16. (Fri) ~ 10. 25. (Sun) 09:00~18:00 · Paid (couldn’t confirm the price)
This weekend is the last one. Along with the chrysanthemum displays, there’s a Goguryeo-themed exhibition and hands-on area.
Paying visitors reportedly get the full ticket amount back in Yeoncheon Sarang gift vouchers. I couldn’t find the actual price in the official notice, though.
From 10/23~10/25 the Yeoncheon Job’s Tears (Yulmu) Festival (free, 10:00~17:00) also runs at the Jeongok-ri Prehistoric Site. There are farming culture activities and local food.

3. Goyang Children’s Museum Docent Explorers & Garden Explorers
Weekends 11:00 / 14:30 / 16:00 · Free (exhibition ticket booked separately)
You explore the <Upside-Down World> gallery on the 3rd floor with a docent for 30 minutes. Ages 4 and up (born 2022 or earlier), max 6 families per session.
You have to sign up on the website by 17:00 the day before. The museum exhibition is reservation-only too, so there are no walk-up tickets, and parking isn’t covered.
Garden Explorers takes same-day sign-ups on site. Each family borrows 1 garden explorer bag to find and record plants, and each session takes up to 10 families.

4. Outdoor Classical Concert and Media Art Exhibition at Gimpo Art Village
2026-10-24 14:00 (about 60 min) · Free
It’s an outdoor show, <Cross the Classic>, by Crossed Ensemble (크로스트). It’s rated for all ages, so there’s no age limit for kids.
Sign up in advance and you get a souvenir (first come, first served). If you didn’t sign up, you can still pick up an entry ticket at the on-site booth starting 1 hour before the show.
At the same address, Gimpo Media Art Center has a free exhibition, 《The World Beyond Borders》. It’s 6 media art works, and you can walk in without booking.
The exhibition runs 2026. 9. 15. (Tue) – 11. 15. (Sun), 10:00 – 17:00.

5. Bucheon Bow Museum Gakgung Explorers
10.24 (Sat) 14:00 ~ 16:00 · Free
Kids learn what goes into a gakgung (traditional Korean horn bow) and how it’s made, then try archery themselves. 10/24 is the very first session.
It’s for elementary school grades 3 ~ 6, with 15 spots. Parents don’t need a separate booking.
The museum also has a touring exhibition, <The Way of the Bow, Linking Cities> (2026-10-15 ~ 2026-11-29, free). It introduces the gakgung and archery culture of Bucheon and Yecheon.

6. Weekend Craft Activities at Bucheon Natural Ecology Park
10/24 (Sat) · 10/25 (Sun) · Free (admission separate)
Saturday’s arboretum craft class has kids make a spider out of natural materials. It’s walk-up, 10:30~16:30 (except lunch 12:00~13:00), and sign-ups close at 16:15.
The Natural Ecology Museum runs crafts on Sat and Sun 13:30~16:30. Saturday is a clay tiger, Sunday a pinecone baby sparrow.
It takes about 10~15 minutes per person. Admission, per last week’s notice, was 2,000 won for elementary kids and 4,000 won for adults.

7. Greece Special Exhibition at Incheon National Maritime Museum
2026-08-11 ~ 2026-12-06 10:00~18:00 · Free admission
[Greece, a Great Civilization Shaped by the Sea] is an international exchange exhibition marking 65 years of Korea–Greece diplomatic relations.
Last entry is 17:30 and it’s closed every Monday. This week that means 10/19 (Mon).

Children and teens pay 5,000 won, and 3,000 won of that comes back as Pocheon Sarang gift vouchers.
