Subway at Yangjae HiBrand — An Easy Meal with Kids

We went to Yangjae HiBrand (양재 하이브랜드) with the kids and had dinner at Subway. This was the first time I found out there’s a Subway inside HiBrand. The shop is spacious and clean, so eating there with kids was easy.

The Shop

Inside Subway Yangjae HiBrand
Inside the shop. Plenty of seats, and it’s tidy.

The Yangjae HiBrand Subway has quite a lot of seating. There’s a good mix of tables for two and tables for four, so you don’t have to worry about getting a seat as a family. A big Subway logo is on the wall and the lighting is bright, so it feels pleasant.

Subway seating area and kiosks
There are 2 kiosks behind the seating area, so ordering is easy.

With 2 kiosks, you can order without waiting in line. If it’s your first time at Subway and you’re not sure what to get, start by tapping the recommended menu on the kiosk. Kids also have fun picking their own food on the screen.

Ordering & Choosing Toppings

Subway topping counter
At the counter, they add the veggies and sauces you pick onto the bread.

The best part of Subway is still being able to customize. You choose the bread, pick your veggie toppings one by one, and choose a sauce at the end. If your child doesn’t like green peppers or onions, just ask them to leave them out, so even with a picky eater there’s nothing to worry about.

Cheese, ham, salami and other fillings are on display.

Meal Deals & Cookies

Subway meal deal sign and cookie display
Meal deals start at 3,000 won for a cookie + drink. Lots of cookie choices.

If a sandwich alone isn’t quite enough, you can add a meal deal. A cookie (or chips) + soft drink set is 3,000 won, and a wedge potatoes + drink set is 3,500 won. There are lots of cookies to pick from, too: chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia, raspberry cheesecake, oatmeal raisin and more. Kids usually like the double chocolate chip.

Drinks

Self-serve Coca-Cola drink station. Soft drink refills are allowed.

The soft drink that comes with the set is self-serve: Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta and so on. Refills are allowed, so if your kids drink a lot, the set is the better deal. The fridge next to it also has canned drinks and bottled water for sale.

What We Ordered

Subway order receipt
Order confirmation screen: Pulled Pork 30cm + Steak & Cheese 30cm

That day we ordered a Pulled Pork BBQ 30cm (14,900 won) and a Steak & Cheese 30cm (16,600 won). A 30cm is enough to fill up one adult, and it’s also good for splitting in half with a child. A 15cm is about the right size for one child.

Wrapped Subway sandwiches
Subway’s signature green and yellow wrappers
Carrying Subway sandwiches out
It’s easy to take out, too.
Subway takeout
Still tasty after bringing it home.

Tips for Going to Subway with Kids

Picky eater? Just ask them to leave out the veggies your child won’t eat. Asking for only lettuce and tomato is fine too. First time for your child? Start with familiar flavors like Egg Mayo or Tuna. Worried about portions? One 15cm is enough for kids up to the lower elementary grades; for upper elementary kids, adding a meal deal is just right.

More to Do at HiBrand

If eating at Subway and heading home feels like a waste, there are a few other things to do inside HiBrand.

  • E-Mart – It’s in the same building, so you can do your grocery shopping on the same trip.
  • Fashion outlet – About 250 Korean and international brands at up to 70% off. You can often find good deals on kids’ clothes.
  • Food court – Besides Subway, there’s the largest food court in a single building, plus a floor of sit-down restaurants.
  • Electronics & furniture – There are Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics showrooms, plus bed and bedding stores.

It’s right next to the Yangjae IC (expressway interchange), so it’s easy to get to by car, and with a free lot for 2,000 cars, parking isn’t much of a hassle. Just note that traffic can back up a bit on weekend evenings.

Information is based on our visit in August 2026. Menu prices may change.
