What does ToyPlus Pangyo sell?

Think of it as a toy department store for kids. Where Toys”R”Us covers all ages, ToyPlus focuses on toddlers through early elementary.

Products on display:

  • Teenieping (Heartping) series: Princess Surprise, Shooting Star, Golden Heartping — ₩6,800–₩55,800
  • Pinkfong · Pororo · Robocar Poli: Aqua Sand, Waterpark Toy, character toys
  • Wishcat · Bururu: Magic Cardphone, dolls, accessory sets
  • LEGO: City, Minecraft, Ninjago — dedicated corner. Note: “LEGO coupon not accepted” sign posted
  • Marvel · Nerf · Bruder: Marvel figures, Nerf guns, Bruder 1:16 trucks (boys’ section)
  • Board games: Halli Galli, Island — Korea Boardgames products
  • DIY / Crafts: Play-Doh, Makeit series, squishy toys

Prices range from ₩6,800 (small figures) to ₩55,800 (large sets). Overall felt more expensive than online. The store has a big-box feel like Costco, but the prices were not Costco.

What’s in the Kidult Zone?

Head toward the store exit and there’s a separate space. Labeled KIDULT ZONE, it has products for adult collectors.

  • Gacha (capsule toy) machines — an entire wall of gacha
  • Figures (anime and movie characters)
  • Keeppley Sanrio blocks — ₩26,300–₩48,800
  • Sports-related items

As parents with kids, it was more “nice to look at, nothing to buy.” If you collect figures, there’s something to see.

ToyPlus Pangyo Kidult Zone Keeppley Sanrio blocks

How did our kids react?

We brought our older child and younger child .

Older child: Looked around but never asked to buy anything. Probably because they’d already had their fill at Teenieping World — with toys just sitting on shelves, interest faded.

Younger child: Walked through the aisles trying to touch things. Products on high shelves were out of reach, so no real issues.

We spent 20 minutes. Fortunately, no begging to buy. If your child must buy something whenever they see toys, think twice before going in.

We stopped by after leaving Teenieping World, so it was 20 free minutes. If you have no plans to buy, it works as a free time-killer.

Insider tips

  • Prices are higher than online. Look something up on Naver after seeing it in the store and you’ll see the gap. Likely pattern: browse offline → buy online.
  • New member sign-up gets a 10% discount coupon. Sign at the entrance. Not worth it unless you visit often.
  • Our kids didn’t beg to buy anything. No hands-on play elements — just products on shelves. Felt like adults browsing a department store. Results may vary by child.
  • LEGO doesn’t accept coupons. “LEGO coupon not accepted” sign posted. The 10% membership coupon doesn’t apply to LEGO either.
  • The Kidult Zone is basically a separate store. Connected space past the exit, with a completely different vibe from the main toy area. The gacha wall is worth a look.
  • Keeppley Sanrio blocks are surprisingly pricey. ₩26,300–₩48,800. LEGO-compatible quality looks decent, but prices match LEGO.
  • We probably won’t go back. Unless you’re interested in a specific brand, it’s a one-visit-and-done kind of place.

Who should visit?

Recommended:

  • Families wanting to kill 20 minutes after Teenieping World
  • Parents who want to see toys in person before buying
  • Kidults who collect figures or gacha

Not recommended:

  • Families with kids who must buy every toy they see
  • People used to online lowest prices (price stress)
  • Anyone expecting hands-on play (display-only store, nothing to play with)
